'They became instant soulmates': Person Adopts Tiny Emotional Support Kitten for Their Adorably Anxious Doggo, the Delightful Duo Developed a Fabulous Friendship

We all need an emotional support… something. Some people have emotional support groups. Other have emotional support journals, mediations or mood trackers. Some have emotional support snap peas. And some of us have emotional support cats. And that is all that we need. Seriously. Have you ever had a bad day then come back home to your cat, and you just stuck your face in their soft, soft fur for a while? It's a beautiful thing, what something like that can do for your mental health. 

So, it is any wonder that this adorable, precious, sweet anxious doggo made a complete turnaround after getting an emotional support cat? No, but also yes. Look, if we decide to get a cat, for emotional support reasons or other, then it's… our choice. We know what we're getting into. For this doggo, it was a surprise. And yet, the meowgic of cats enveloped it anyway, and the two became best of friends immediately.

    The fact that you somehow knew that getting your dog a cat would help him somehow makes this story even better. Put aside how cute these cat and dog are individually and together. This is one heck of an owner as well. We wish you all many, many happy and healthy years together.

    Oh, and they are cute together. Undeniably cute. Painfully cute. We are so happy that you uploaded so many pictures of them, and yet, it still does not feel like enough. Please continue uploading pictures of this delightful duo over time as they grow up and old together.

    • Ok-Marionberry-3109 OP 4d ago I knew my dog needed a friend after I removed her from service work after she was scared too bad on multiple occasions and got anxiety. She became extremely scared of other dogs so I said "why not get a cat" we looked at a ton of cats until I picked up my lil man and he felt like home❤it was perfect. He's now one of the dogs. He 10000% acts like a dog

    • Ok-Marionberry-3109 OP 4d ago When we brought him home we kept them separate. He had his own room in the house we were staying in. My dog (bear) was very curious. She was sniffing under the door so we let her in. We know her temperament so we weren't worried at all about the interaction. She sniffed him and then looked up at us to make sure she was doing good. He then started grooming her. He would try to nurse on her for the first month we had him. We had to teach her to not let him do that.
