We must talk about what happened in King's Cross on September 1st.
Every devoted Harry Potter fan knows that every year, on September 1st at 11:00 AM exactly, an announcement can be heard across King's Cross station in London – 'The Hogwarts Express is now departing from platform 9¾'.
This year, for some unknown reason, the station told Potterheads not to arrive at the King's Cross, as there would not be an announcement. Still, some fans came anyway, and they recorded themselves counting down to 11 AM, and as promised, no announcement followed. As expected, the disappointed uproar shook the internet.
It makes me sad that this lovely tradition is over, and I hope it is just a one-time thing and not a goodbye for good, especially since I never actually got to experience this countdown myself, but would very much love to one day.
