Listen, I know that we missed Star Trek Day last week, but that doesn't mean we can't still celebrate the holiday! On September 8th, 1966, the first episode of Star Trek aired, and it's been entertaining fans ever since. The celebration of Star Trek Day only began in 2020, which is strange because annoying people have been saying "May The Fourth Be With You" as long as I've been alive, and Star Trek fans deserve an equally prominent informal holiday. It might be more fun to celebrate Federation Day, the holiday honoring the creation of the Federation of Planets, but there is no set canon date for that. It's been christened October 11th by an unseen prop, August 12th in various Star Trek novels, May 8th in the background of The Complete Atlas of Star Trek, and June 30th in a Star Trek video game. If you don't need a canon Federation Day, you might as well stick with these Star Trek memes.
