What others do with their front lawn is their business, unless you live in an HOA that has certain aesthetic specifications written into its rule book. It's not your problem if you decide to leave your lawn looking a certain way, rather than pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket to get the perfectly manicured stock photo image-like lawn that your neighbors desire. At the end of the day, you are the one paying for your home, not your neighbor. Certain neighbors might try to fearmonger you into doing what they want, but folks who have been homeowners for a while know their way around.
The woman and original poster (OP) of this story is reaching out to seasoned homeowners regarding a certain angry neighbor of hers who won't stop singling out and ridiculing the way her front lawn looks. The OP states that her lawn is in no way "perfect" and her shrubbery takes on a more "natural shape" instead of perfect cube bushes. She also expresses that she doesn't like using pesticides or fertilizer on her grass, so it doesn't have as vibrant a green as others in the neighborhood. Her neighbor is not happy about this and has taken extreme measures to try and get her to comply with his asks of a picture-perfect front yard. She is not in violation of anything!
The angry neighbor has been putting up signs directed at OP, telling the town to "TAKE NOTICE" and another pretty problematic sign that I'll leave up to your imagination. Aside from the signs, the neighbor has also called the town office to try and get her fined and yelled at her to get her dad to "fix all of it" (her yard). So, now she's looking for a way to get this guy to leave her alone. Scroll to read the entire story, and additionally, some commenters' two cents on her situation and advice on how she should move forward.
