Celebrate Batman Day With These Behind the Scenes Photos From Every Incarnation of the Dark Knight
Happy Batman Day! (Yes, it's today for some reason.) So, who is the best Batman of all time? Well, for me, the answer is very straightforward, but I do understand the heated debate that has been raging relentlessly since the early days of the internet. Everyone has their favorite Batman, and it's usually directly correlated to the year they turned 12. Adam West did his own thing with the character, Michael Keaton brought a darker Batman to the masses, we're skipping Val Kilmer and George Clooney for obvious reasons, Christian Bale was the most realistic, Affleck was the most comic-accurate, and Pattinson brought an intensity we had never seen before.
But for me, there is—and always will be—one true Dark Knight: the late, great Kevin Conroy. This man's voice will forever be associated with Batman, and alongside Mark Hamill's Joker, will remain the ultimate portrayal of The Batman.
