TGIF, everyone. We have finally made it. The last day of the week, and we want nothing more than to start it off with a note of pawsitivity. Thankfully, on ICanHas, Friday morning means that it's officially time to, yet again, meet the newly adopted faces of the week.
Every single Friday morning starts the same here. We spend the week searching for the most wholesome cat adoption stories, and then, we bring them all here for you guys to enjoy first thing on Friday morning. Because there is no better, more positive and pure way for a cat lover to start the morning than with a bunch of adorable kitty cats finding their forever homes.
We would like to say thank you to all of our forever heroes - all the people who adopted cats this week! And an even bigger thank you goes to those of you who adopted cats who need a little more love and care - beautiful senior cats, sick cats, rehomed cats, and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

"For my senior year of college, I adopted Butters as my emotional support animal. Although I was told she was 8 weeks old, the vet informed me she was actually about 4-5 weeks old. I initially wanted to name her Butterscotch but felt it was too long, so I named her Butters after my favorite character from South Park."
"Clara (no tail and more grey/ pressed in grumpy face) and Odette (tail) are 11 year old rescue Persians. They have no teeth and no claws. I adopted them 1.5 months ago as companions for my 10 year old rescue European Burmese who just tragically lost his brother to cancer. Clara and Odette are the new queens of the house. They love cuddling, purring 24/7, eating food, being 1" away from you at all times, and playing with string toys. I have been adopting senior animals (including geriatric age and special needs) since 2022."
"My mom fell in love with her foster brother, Mango, and they informed us that he had a partner in crime back at the foster's home. We adopted her sight unseen. She screamed the whole ride home. She's a feisty little criminal. She's wildly dramatic if she doesn't get what she wants. She starts wrestling matches with her brother and then howls when he bops her back. She's very stinky. She will probably break everything we own. She knocks over trash cans for fun. She will chew through your fingers for a treat. I named her Roberta because it's a good name to say when you're exasperated. ("RoBERTa, what are you doing??") On top of all that, she adores a good cuddle. She's a mess and we love her to bits. I'm so glad mom adopted her."
"Here are a few photos taken in the last 5-6 days to show her progression. Luna is 11 and was surrendered after her owners were evicted and separated from her brother. She just wanted somewhere to lounge in peace and quiet, and she so has that here with my senior lab, and I."
"I just adopted this sweet baby a couple months ago. Her name is Catniss and she's arouns 11 yo. She is still very scared of everything. I'm slowly winning her over but she hasn't sat with me or cuddled yet. She enjoys my pets though! This is her 'pet me' position lol."
"4 weeks ago, I was telling my girlfriend how badly I wanted the CDS to strike. I knew it wasn't the right time for me to adopt a cat… but if I found a kitty in need, I would simply have no choice but to keep it. That same night, I spotted this baby in a car dealership lot, and hung out with him for 30 minutes until he let me get close enough to catch him. I still felt like I shouldn't keep him so I spent a week trying to find him a new home. But during that week he stole my heart, and I just couldn't let him go. Tibothy is now happy and healthy as an indoor kitty. I hate to think what could have happened to him if I didn't catch him, but he's mine now, and I'll do everything in my power to keep him safe and loved for the rest of his days"
