It's difficult to see the red flags in a relationship when you are in the midst of it. All you see through those rose-colored glasses are the best parts of your partner. And any flaw is just something you two can work on together, right? Maybe sometimes, but not always. Usually, the red flags rear their ugly color eventually, and you can't see anything else. This guy missed a HUGE red flag while he was with his now ex-wife. She hated donating to charities, like with a burning passion, it would seem. While they were together she would never allow him to donate to any charity. You'd think that would be a very obvious red flag, but again, it's hard to see those when you're so "in love."
However, this guy was able to see things clearly eventually and they got divorced. But he didn't end his feeling sfor her. No, in fact, he changed his feelings of love to loath and now dishes out the perfect revenge for his "evil" ex—he puts her email down every time he donates, so she gets the "thank you" email.
