"I finally snapped and reported these greedy [guys] to the Health Dept."

I reported my hotel to the Health Dept. I was the guy who posted here before that we were selling sewage-tainted rooms, and had my boss try-and fail-to force me to keep a family of four with children in a room with no AC on a 1000+ day.

Well I finally snapped and reported these greedy assfucks to the Health Dept and he came by today. Bedbugs, which he found, I reported. Mold he found, which I reported. And then he goes "oh hey by the way you're not licensed with the Health Dept and that's a crime." I was like....."good....gooooood."

These guys deserve whatever consequences come from this because he tried repeatedly to contact them about their license, SO 'em. When Inspector came by I told him "I'm your guy", handed him a master key and lost of rooms and their issues and said "run wild." As well as confirmed we make our food in the laundry room. Also reported them to BBB

prestOx Hopefully you can get a copy of the report once the inspector finds all the skeletons in the closet. Or fill us in on the major details ;) cancellationoption OP to The internet and public domain is a vast place. I doubt I will give enough of a bother looking it up once I'm gone though.

kevnmartin Definitely. They put the good of the guests over the wallets of their grasping bosses. Head Razzmatazz7174 I would not be surprised if he discovered actual skeletons of small rodents in the closets.

MorgainofAvalon I was one of the people who asked you to do this. Good on you for speaking up. cancellationoption OP For sure. I regret reporting so much later after it happened but I had to cultivate my alternative options before I did.

stocks-mostly-lower Wishing you the best, and thank you for helping the hotel residents! cancellationoption OP People deserve the product they think they are getting and "I'm sorry-I thought this was America" in the words of Randy Marsh....you don't run your hotel like you're still in India.

utriptmybitchswitch Food in the laundry room? At least your hotel desn't store food (water/soda/snacks) sold in the snack shop in the custodian's closet inside the public rest room... cancellationoption OP The oof size increases upon hearing that one....

IGotFancyPants Out of curiosity - what is this hotel charging per night, let's say for a double queen or single king room? cancellationoption OP Today it's $100 after tax for a qq 95 for single q. But tomorrow it's 175/180. And on Saturday about the same.

heynonnynonnomous Holy I wonder how many different hotels are operating the same way. cancellationoption OP ALL of the ones under this same ownership according to online reviews. I reported them to the BBB too....

cancellationoption OP I would hope it gets good. I did not tell my boss the inspector came by. I think that I should though if I want to divert any attention. However the inspector came said it would be a bit of work for them to figure out who reported it. Work they are too lazy to do I think. I can also just be nonchalant and say I thought it was just a no big deal inspection....

rowenadevandal I did this too, when I resigned from my former hotel job. That place had bedbugs in several rooms, roaches in the kitchen, undated food containers, open bags of waffle mix, as well as the boss telling me to serve milk, yogurt, and bread past the expiration date. The other people who had to prep breakfast usually undercooked both the eggs and sausage, in spite of the fact that I had left detailed instructions on how to prep the food and check the temperature with the digital food t

tablets to put in the water for the sanitizing step of dish washing, and dishes were rarely washed correctly as they would be greasy when I went to prep in the morning. There's so much more, but I can't remember it all. I had a friend that stayed there long term, and she told me that the health department was out every couple of weeks for the six months she stayed there. I seriously doubt they've gotten better.

stillabadkid I reported the PetSmart I was working at to the Department of Fish & Wildlife for knowingly selling animals infected with fatal and highly contagious diseases (after weeks of begging my managers to at least quarantine the sick animals). Unfortunately, all they did was confiscate the stock of animals that were sick. New shipments came in that were also sick and the cycle started once again. Womp womp womp....
