Wife Stands Her Ground on Splitting Custody After Husband Divorces Her a Year After Baby Because He Can’t Handle the Responsibility

This story isn't your typical mom narrative. The wife had a great career and was always on the fence about having kids. She knew how tough motherhood could be, especially for single moms, and didn't want to give up her hard-earned success just to fit the mold. Her husband, though, was set on having kids. After seven years together and being madly in love, she agreed. They had a baby, but soon after, everything changed.

The wife faced serious health complications after giving birth, and during her recovery, she wasn't able to care for their baby as much as her husband did. Instead of stepping up, her husband grew distant. Then, out of nowhere, just a year after their baby was born, he served her divorce papers. In a society where it's often expected that the woman takes full custody, she stood her ground. She wanted to split custody fairly, and her decision sent her husband into a rage. Even her mother-in-law had some choice words for her.
