Woman Refuses to Invite Father to Wedding After Years of Neglect, Including Leaving Her Behind During a 'Family Trip' to Disney
Welcome, gossiping goddesses. Getting divorced, finding a new romantic partner, and adapting to life with a new family doesn't always go over smoothly. If you and your new spouse both have children from previous marriages, you must be prepared to face quite a few challenges. While it is impossible to force even blood-related siblings to like each other, it is important to cultivate an environment where all children feel equally loved, supported, and cared for by both parents. In many cases, parents might seem to favor their biological children over their step-children, or conversely, they might fear that they will be accused of favoritism, and thus, end up overcompensating by putting all of their attention on their step-kids. Such was the case in our story today, wherein a father ends up neglecting his daughter, our protagonist, in favor of his step-son, resulting in her alienating him in adulthood.
