Everyone's been embarrassed by their parents at some point growing up. More often than not, we accept these embarrassing moments as a part of the adolescent experience. Rarely do we see children grow up harboring a desire to recreate said embarrassing moments but with the roles reversed.
Here, we have a playful and wholesome moment when a now 38-year-old Redditor decided to get even with her mother by telling her how much she loves her in a public setting, something her mother used to do when the Redditor was little (much to her chagrin).
Now, while it's easy to wonder why this fully-grown adult felt the need to get payback by embarrassing her mom, at the same time, we all know those moments stick with us. For instance, I vividly remember watching my Dad dance up and down the aisle of the movie theater during the trailer of "Chicken Little," a moment so scarring and embarrassing that my sister and I erupted into tears. Power to this Redditor for restoring some balance in the universe of embarrassment.
