If you really think that childcare isn't actually work, you must've never spent time with a kid. It's surprising that this dad feels that way, considering he has two children of his own!
This mom usually stays home with her kids while also running a small business for a few hours each day. That's already a lot to juggle, and as she mentions, she's home alone all day with her energetic 5-year-old, and then she's alone with both kids for a few hours when the older kid gets done with school. However, her husband works in an office, and they've been getting into petty arguments after work. It happens far too often in relationships: you get done work and you're both tired and hangry, so you start snipping at each other until it turns into a full-blown argument.
The dad ended up telling u/ClearCoffee7140 that he didn't think she had a lot on her plate as a working stay-at-home mom, telling her she could "at least take care of dinner." Well, this mom let her husband find out through first-hand experience just how difficult it can be to care for kids and work at the same time, and to no one's surprise, Dad didn't care for it!
