The Wicked extravaganza made us think of The Wizard of Oz, fellow followers, and the lion's character specifically. Creating a cowardly lion is such a brilliant way to deal with fear and lack of confidence. The lion may be the character that kids relate to the most in the story, and his ability to overcome his fear is a great message. It's similar to the way kids roar, or raise their arms like bears to regain their confidence. Who wouldn't want to be a lion sometimes?

The duality we all sometimes feel, between the lion king and the cowardly lion, is very common - and it's not limited to childhood either. Don't we all wish we could say whatever we want to our boss, or to a co-worker who treated us badly? Wouldn't we all want to defend others in need with emboldened spirit? Don't feel bad that you only came up with a punchy comeback to Karen from marketing when you returned home. We've all been there and will be in the future.
