Sister cancels family New Year's Eve Party at her house after her sister's 4 kids mix toilet water and dinner on Christmas: 'These kids are pulling out toilet water from the bathroom and splashing it on the floor'

There is a large contingent of parents who want to be their kids' best friends. They might have had kids young and still feel like teenagers, or they might desperately want a close relationship with their kids that they never had with their parents. Whatever the case may be, being your child's best friend nearly always creates a monster. Your kid shouldn't be trembling at the thought of displeasing you, but they also should be reasonably afraid of getting in trouble. If they think they can do whatever and you'll laugh along as if you're besties, they will do whatever they want and other people will suffer the consequences of that. Bad parenting impacts not only the kids but also every single person those kids interact with. The kids in this story ruined Christmas dinner, all because their mother was so amused by their gross antics that she forgot she needed to parent them.

    Next it gets even worse, one of them starts to shovel food into their mouths just screaming "WHERE IS ALL THE FOOD GOING! WHO IS EATING ALL THE FOOD!" at this point there is food everywhere and dinner is ruined. The only people laughing are my sister and the kids.

    Being upset is a normal part of life and is typically a learning experience. Here your sister should have learned that he unruly children f ed up christmas and by extension new years because of their unsociable behavior.

    Born-Hat-8515 NTA. I think your sister is missing that it is a television show. It's probably not dirty toilet water on the show. If there is food everywhere, it's on a set or there are assistants to clean up. It's not so funny in real life with no movie magic. Your sister needs to grow up.

    Bonnm42 Wait was this the Sister that was hosting? If it's the other Sister she must be P ED. NTA I would not want them at my house. I would tell your Sister "if you want to prepare them for a career in comedy, you should probably teach them that real life is not like TikTok. They may think it's funny but others may not.. and may not want to invite then to things anymore."
