'Young people today are too afraid of being embarrassed': People reveal their most millennial gripes

Once upon a time, certain millennials felt like they were the most maligned generation in history. Every other news article seemed to be blaming them for ignoring social mores, shutting down industries, and generally being a disappointment to those who had come before them (cough, boomers). There was just something about coming of age in this fresh new century that rubbed people up the wrong way. Plus, they grew up as the internet did and we all know that this can produce individuals that can't be trusted.

These days, our millennial brethren are considered over the hill when it comes to scrutiny from the mainstream media. They have Gen Z and even Gen Alpha to wring their hands over now, and those generations have taken up where the old people left off and started mocking their turn-of-the-century elders with TikTok cringe compilations.

There is one upside to all of this, and that is the gift of hindsight allowing us to see some of the things that millennials got right when they were in their prime. A bunch of people got together to share this in the form of their most millennial complaints, many of which seem pretty valid.
