'[I] immediately took him inside and told my husband we had a cat now': Wholesome woman rescues the friendliest feline from the snow and gives him a furever home

A hooman knows if they're a cat person or not, and that's okay. Here at ICHC, we know we're all cat people, but what can we do if some people around the world aren't like us? Well, we can't really do anything about it, but there's one force in the world that can. A feline force that works tirelessly to pair hearty hoomans with cute cats. We're talking about the mysterious Cat Distribution System. It's the force of nature that distributes cats to the people - for both the cats in need of hoomans, and the hoomans in need of cats. Even if these hoomans aren't quite aware of it at the moment the CDS distributes the cat to them.

One such person turned to the online feline family and started to say she was never a cat person. But… there's always a "but". The Cat Distribution System works in mysterious ways, not always clear while it makes its process, but definitely clear on the result - which is usually "Here's your new cat". And that's exactly what happened to this not-cat-person. The CDS has decided she should have a cat - and accepted this new feline fella with open arms, especially because it was about to snow. She brought this wandering whiskered floof inside the house and immediately told her husband they're cat pawrents from now on.

This wholesome woman turned to the online feline family to ask for tips for cat pawrenting, but discovered she was doing pretty great so far. And of course, the added pictures of this precious new addition to her family didn't go unnoticed - especially the one where it shows she had already purchased him a cat tree! We're so purroud of this woman for listening to the Cat Distribution System, whatever it may be, and turning from a self-declared "not a cat person" to a happy cat pawrent. We salute people like her.

  • You can already see from this picture how happy she is with this new floofy addition to her family. She talks later about how chill this cat is, and just lets people scoop him up - and he actually likes it. So, he might not be aware he needs to look at the camera (street cat after all, no?) - but they look like a purrfect pair the Cat Distribution System paired.

Well, this one saw me doing this from across the street and as I sat down to smoke a cigarette, he ran RIGHT UP onto the porch in front of me to eat. I was sort of excited he was right there.

    So I reached out to pet him from my chair and he came over to me and jumped into my lap. I wanted to scream. I was very excited.     medicated spray on him for his bites afterwards. My husband went out and got a litter box and food and a collar. We got a harness! We found a huge cat tree on Facebook for $20! I did post him on Ring, Facebook, and called the humane society to see if he was missing just in case. He was just veryyy friendly. I didn't want to abduct someone's cat.

    This is the weird part. This cat is the MOST FRIENDLY, chill, tolerant, AMAZING creature I've ever met. I have 4 kids, ages 5, 4, 2 and 4 months. I also have an Australian shelher.   • Like there's a person for everyone - there's a cat for everyone. That's definitely true. Cats, as a collective, are so cute. But as individuals - they're so different from each other. Out there, somewhere, there's a cat with a character and purrsonality that fit every hooman.
