And it's not just friends that introverts might need a break from — it's family and romantic partners, too.

The holidays are an introvert's worst nightmare; it's just a never-ending stream of obligatory family events with zero breaks in between. In our story today, our introverted protagonist attempts to spend a quiet weekend in solitude in order to recuperate from all the maddening socializing she had to do in December. Her immature boyfriend, however, cannot wrap his head around the concept, and instead jumps to the conclusion that she intends to cheat on him.
