You would think that the protagonist would want to see her own sister happy. Sure, they have different lifestyles, and chose different paths, and even grew up fighting. But it's still family, it's still your sister. I would do whatever I could to help my sister, and not make her feel like she's all alone in the world.

I think the protagonist is being cruel and unfair. So many of these Reddit stories consist of people having unreasonable expectations for family members under the guise of, “family helps family.” But in this specific case, I think the saying is true. Will it really harm the protagonist to babysit a bit?

Everyone has their own relationship experiences, and even though people around us can give us advice, or make mistakes for us, sometimes we have to find out about life the hard way. There's no perfect marriage out there, and unfortunately, people may change right in front of your eyes overnight. I've definitely had the unwitting experience of feeling like my partner was my dream man, only for my rose-colored glasses to fall off a year into our relationship. It's not comfortable, but it's better to find out sooner rather than later. And especially behooving to find out before tying the knot.
The story below is about a woman who thought she was building her dream like with her dream husband, only for her visions to be shattered by the harsh breath of reality. She took the tradwife life, she married her husband out of college and immediately had four children with him. Her dreams were dismantled after finding out not only about his infidelity, but about his hidden financial situation.
