Sleep is precious—so when you're stuck in a hotel room sharing a wall with a couple of hooligans partying and screaming until late in the evening, it's easy to see how some petty revenge schemes could cook up in your fatigue-addled mind. 

As the clock ticks by and the big numbers become small numbers, the revenge plans become more and more diabolical. And I don't blame you for thinking greedily about your ZZZ's. Sleep is potentially the most rejuvenating and delightful part of vacation, so if you're stuck tucking pillows around your head and wishing you'd brought better ear plugs on your restful vacation, the mind can easily wander into vengeance territory. Perhaps someone else's sleep is about to be disrupted when they want it most!

    I'm a very light sleeper. Doomed to stir at the smallest scuttle or the flutter of a butterfly's wing, I wake up at almost any disturbance. Unluckily for me, that means hotel stays are often restless, so some of these karmic options below are going to be staying in my memory banks for the next time I have a noisy neighbor.
