Not every stray cat is meant to become a home kitty. Some of them are too wild. Some of them are too used to or even enjoy the thrill of the outside world. Even the ones who are rescued, who can no longer face the crazy world on their own, sometimes have a very hard time adapting and learning to trust humans. Some cats get sick of being strays, so they just… come up to their chosen human, tell them that they want to be adopted, and whoosh, just like that, it happens, and they have a home. We call that the cat distribution system. And that was definitely what was happening for this cat. The stray cat that was rescued in this story was definitely ready for his outdoor life to be over. He was "decaying" out there. All he needed was a little love, and now, he's the biggest, softest cuddlebug.
