Weddings are meant to be the happiest day of the bride and groom's life, but who actually feels like that? Usually the bride and groom are running around, greeting aunts, uncles, children, grandparents, and trying to coordinate with DJ's, bartenders, caterers, and whoever else. The night is usually a whirlwind of lurid lights, cameras in your face, grinning mouths congratulating you while you don't even have a moment to breathe or even be with your new husband until the dance. But besides the chaos of weddings, there's a lot of planning involved. 

In a way the celebration is a representation of you, of your relationship, and of your values. The day is supposed to be about you, but it ends up being about pleasing everyone else as well. It's a lot of pressure to feed everybody, to make sure they're all happy, and to provide enough to drink as well. 

If you can't put on the wedding you would want to put on, it may be on the guests to fend for themselves, and that's exactly what happens in the story below.
