Pilot defends their seaplane from HOA members: '[I] told them I have no intention of changing anything'

This seaplane pilot is doing everything right, but their HOA doesn't see it that way. Instead, they're insisting that this person move the plane. Well, too bad, too sad, because this person knows their rights, and it's not some random HOA's place to decide about it. 

A lot of people acquire their homes through a family member, like this guy, who is now the owner of a seaside cottage. That's a sweet deal: their grandfather passed it along to them, and the location coincides with one of their hobbies. This person flies a seaplane, so they're able to park it nearby and fly whenever they please. 

However, they're not necessarily making the local community happy. There are two sides to every story, and this person is making the locals unhappy with the way they're parking the plane. Beachgoers have been gawking at them as they take off, and while the beachgoers are kept away by buoys, I can see why someone might not want a seaplane located right next to a populated beach. Visitors might think they can't swim near the plane. Even though this person has the technical right to utilize their property and park the plane where they want, it might not be the best choice for everyone involved.
