My mom was a SAHM and was always the friend group chaperone. As a kid, you don't realize the time sacrifice of driving all over town to shuttle kids to and from events, but now, as an adult, I tip my hat to her! She would drive us to the beach, the park, to friend's pools, and pretty much wherever we had plans, and she was always on time to pick us up. What a great mom. However, I can understand a kid needing a ride from a good mom, but if a driver's-license-less mom tries to guilt trip another parent into bending over backward so that they can partake in their kid's birthday party, that's going to ruffle some feathers.
