'This is not my cat': Terrific tuxedo cat shows up unannounced to person's home, proving once again that the cat distribution system is always at work

You know how we adopted our first ever cat? It's a beautiful story. Simple but elegant. The cat just showed up in front of our door. We didn't plan on it. We didn't ask for it. We let her in for a moment because she was cute, then she ran out and we tried calling her back. Then we left it up to fate: if she runs in again, then she must want to be in. And it happened. We were chosen by a kitten, and life never looked the same. We have never been this happy to be servants to a fluffy little feline. 

And we are pretty sure that is what happened to this person. They're still a little bit in denial, we think, wondering whether the cat belongs to someone else and is just coming for a quick visit. But we know. We have been there before. We know that whether this cat already has humans or not, this person has still been chosen, and they belong to this cat now, permanently or for occasional visits.

    I live out in a rural area so I popped round to my closest neighbour's house to ask if the cat is theirs and confirmed that the little angel is not. They're very friendly!

  • Listen, either way, whether this cat belongs to one of your neighbors or not, you have been chosen. Maybe you will be this cat's vacation home instead of his permanent abode, you will only find this out in the future, but regardless, you have a new feline companion to take a million pictures of.

    iscariots OP Haha that's our toy! We keep it in the porch (which is where this angel waltzed into) because our local stray cat LOVES it. We think he's never had catnip in his life. He'll come in just to roll around with his beloved banana toy.

  • Hey, the fact that this tuxedo seems to be getting along with your already existing cats just supports the theory that he belongs in your home in our opinions. We need updates, as soon as you can give them. And more pictures. Infinitely more pictures - of all of your cats.

    iscariots OP At least a year old and they're either neutered or a lady! I didn't look too close but they definitely don't have troublepuffs, to use the colloquial verbiage.

    Pooptown USA Do you happen to live somewhere in the vicinity of Plymouth, UK? There's a cat there named Mischief who travels quite far and often lets himself into homes and businesses. He looks quite similar to this cat here!
