Not everyone plans a pregnancy. This is a fact. Sometimes, many people can plan their whole lives for it and never end up pregnant, either. Whatever the case may be, if a baby is born, they are definitely loved. Even if they were conceived without the knowledge of the parents conceiving them, it does not take away from the fact that their parents love them deeply.

However, it's not great hearing in-laws tell your toddler-aged daughter that they weren't planned. Kids that young can't understand the nuance behind life, and in turn, they might end up developing issues regarding their entrance into the world. In-laws, or anyone other than the parents for that matter, don't deserve to tell children their parents' business, especially when they try to disguise it in a lighthearted "joke".
