25-year-old man puts girlfriend's dog up for adoption behind her back after she prioritizes her pet over his allergies: “Wherever I go Theo comes with me”

Dogs are family, and that's not a new phenomenon. Dogs have been domesticated by humans from somewhere between 12,000 to 40,000 years – that is a longer amount of time than humans have had blue eyes (in the ballpark of 6,000 to 10,000 years). Humans have been laid to rest with their canine partners since before the dawn of agriculture, and their cuddly forms decorate the artwork of ancient civilizations across the globe. 

The bond between humans and doggos is not to be toiled with, but a jealous young man attempts to do so in our story today. Despite knowing that his girlfriend and her pup were a package deal, he bides his time, suffering through allergies, and growing more resentful until he finds a couple looking to adopt a dog. He then attempts to rehome her dog – Theo – right under her nose by inviting them over to meet him under the guise of a normal hangout.
