Welcome back people of the internet. Sisters: they're not like brothers, are they? Growing up with brothers is like growing up with a wild animal and someone who constantly thinks it's funny to get on your nerves, mess something up for you, and play pranks when you're absolutely not in the mood. Every day is a fight for stability, sanity, and safety. With sisters, things are different. Women are innately more caring, maternal, and giving. Even if they're not the softest woman, they're probably going to be more sensitive and caring than your brother growing up. Boys take a lot longer to develop and mature than girls, and you may not have a stable relationship with your brother until you're much older in life. It's all random, and we can't choose our family. If you do have a sister who you're close with and who you can rely on, it's always a blessing. 

In the story below, the protagonist has a younger sister who's down on her luck. Her sister needs somewhere to stay, and as the older sister, she willingly lets her sister stay with her rent free.     Baxter is well-trained, but he's an escape artist. If he sees an open door, he's gone. He doesn't run away permanently, but he'll sprint out into the neighborhood, and I have to chase him down. It's a hassle, and I've had to get him from random backyards more times than I can count.

    dogs safety, or respecting you as both her brother and the one doing her a massive favour by letting her stay. Being kicked out is the consequence of her choice to ignore the only rule you had. She knew the rule, knew it was important, and chose to ignore it anyway.
