"They disagree with my marriage": Woman confronts boss when office fails to even congratulate her for her upcoming wedding despite throwing parties to celebrate others' milestones

Every workplace handles birthdays and other milestones differently. Most offices might bring in a some sort of small, sweet treat and make a quick announcement to commemorate important events. Other places might completely avoid the responsibility of planning personal parties by ignoring their employees' milestones. There are also very lax workplaces that go all out to celebrate peoples' birthdays, weddings, or other personal achievements. There's no right or wrong way to go about it, but it's important that each employee gets the same treatment.

In our story today, a woman expects a full-on bridal shower from her workplace to celebrate her upcoming wedding. She's not entitled or anything; this is just the culture in her particular office. However, she never even recieves a card. She's briefly pacified after confronting her boss about it, but she later finds out, after asking around, that her marital milestone was being purposefully brushed under the rug due to some peoples' prejudice.
