After several tables of entitled customers, server gets a ‘breath of fresh air’ with a father and 4 daughters having the most wholesome family dinner: ‘It just really lifted my spirits’

When you walk into a restaurant and see kids at the table, you usually see them completely out of control running around the place totally ruining everyone's night or you see them all glued to their iPads not even acknowledging other family members. It's pretty post-apocalyptic and disheartening. However, that isn't always the case! Everyone now and then you get a family who was taught good restaurant etiquette and are actually enjoying each other's company. 

 

When I was a kid, my parents used to force my brother and I to have family dinner every night Sunday-Friday (Saturday nights were for the homies). We'd either go out to a restaurant or we'd have a home-cooked meal at a candlelit dinner—all always screen free. No matter what, we'd spend family time together almost every night. Sure, as a teenager I would get annoyed and during some of those nights I would sit in silent protest. But now that I'm a grown adult, I can look back and appreciate every single one of those nights. In fact, I wish I didn't live so far away so I could continue to have them.

  • One server who was having an awful night at work, with several entitled customers being sat in their section, they were able to get a breath of fresh air when a wholesome family walked in. She was able to witness the four daughters, ranging from 4 to 6 years old, have a wonderful time chatting and laughing with their father. Her heart was so warmed that she sent them over free french fries. And it just gets cuter from there! Read on to have your faith in humanity restored.

  • "A Wholesome Tale"

    Yesterday, after a lot of bland/mildly ride tables, I got the most breath-of- fresh-air table, and I wanted to share how cute they were.

  • Eneicia I still remember a little boy and his parents. I went to bring mom and dad their coffees and the little boy looked at me and said "I'm having cweam. They won't let me have coffee, so I'm dwinking cweam." So defiantly and adorably! It was so long ago I don't recall anything else, just that little cheeky boy drinking our creamers lol.
