Clever Dad Photographs His Son Playing On His Game Boy at Iconic Locations All Around the World

Kids these days are always one their phones. I mean, they have instant access to the internet, and thus, a neverending stream of entertainment right at their fingertips at all time. They can watch videos, listen to music, and even play complex games from a device in their pocket. Millennials rememer a time where all of these things were available, too, but you had to use different devices for each activity. Kids these days still play with handheld toys; the Nintendo Switch is wildly popular amongst the youth (and plenty of adults). However, despite its portable nature, most people don't feel comfortable carrying around an expensive console in their bag. At least, it has nothing on the portability of the Game Boy.

In the following photo series, titled "Game Boy Around the World," a dedicated dad captures his son's commitment to his Nintendo game by photographic him at iconic locations around the globe. Seemingly unphased by the natural and man-made structures behind him, the young boy is completely enthralled by the digital world in his hands. So who is the real Game Boy: the handheld device or the child playing it?

While I am sure that this boy got a lot of use out of his handheld toy, I believe that a lot of these images are likely at least somewhat posed. Dad just wanted to capture his son's love of gaming in a cute and charming way.
