28-year-old refuses to sign away late father’s cabin to ungrateful stepbrother just because he “needs a home,” the family comes after her: “They said I was being heartless”
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. Family dynamics are never easy. Regardless of if we grow up with food, water, and shelter, the family dynamics we are born into will haunt us for the rest of our lives, whether we like it or not. Think about all the divorced parents in the world and how their children have been affected by that. Seeing the sundering of your parent's marriage, their love, and even your home life. Having to switch between homes every week, feeling a lack of stability in day to day life when you're so young and nascent, not knowing anything about the world. But maybe your parents stayed together, but other aspects of home life feel unstable. Maybe it's not a safe environment for one reason or another, maybe you don't even feel like it's your home. The different scenarios of family life in our childhoods are endless, but the point of the matter is that no matter how we grew up, we all have things we need to work out about ourselves because of it.
In the story below, it centers around a young woman who lost her father early in her life. Her parents are divorced, and her mother remarried. Her stepfather has a son from a previous marriage, making him her half sibling. He seems to feel entitled to her things suddenly. Read the full story below.
