Teenagers are just built for this kind of work, there's no getting around it. With their flexible schedules, their unlimited energy, their heightened interest in new things, and their lack of worldly experience, they make the perfect candidates for jobs that no one else wants. Unfortunately, these days and with modern technology, less and less teenagers are getting the "character building" jobs. They can sit in front of their screen all day filming themselves dance and become millionaires. But let's not think about that right now. The story below isn't about technology, or millions of dollars.

In the story below, the narrator simply wants to use a dolly to bring her newly bought sink to her car since it's too heavy for her to carry. She uses it, and when she returns it she realizes that she's been charged $18 for it, but it's to use it for 12 hours, not 12 seconds. This sparks an unknown issue at work.

I don't understand how someone can get fired on the spot for not giving a refund. Also, the narrator says that the manager asked her what happened, so why would he just fire his employee on the spot? Like a lot of the comments say, I suppose that the employee had a lot of mistakes beforehand.
