Okay, sure, the bride should've been more clear that she didn't want anyone wearing ALL white. Our protagonist has a point in that people are breaking traditions and rules all the time. However, showing up in a dress that was literally intended to be for a bride is definitely crossing a line!

Guest wears obviously bridal dress to cousin's wedding, bridesmaids bash her for faux pas but she doubles down on choice: "The invitation clearly stated the attire was "Whites, blues, and natural hues""
Every wedding has a different set of rules and guidelines that guests are expected to follow. Some couples go all-out with specifically themed weddings while others keep it simple with a dressy-casual dress code. Still, there are some near-universal, unspoken rules for dress that just about everyone knows – namely, no one but the bride should be wearing white! However, nowadays brides are breaking traditions left and right; it's not totally uncommon to see bridesmaids dressed in white gowns, for example.
In our story today, a naive young guest arrives at a wedding in a floor-length, white gown. One might be tempted to call her out for wanting to steal the spotlight, however, she argues that the wedding invitation clearly stated that whites were allowed! However, when she takes to the internet for a verdict on her behavior, netizens are quick to point out that the dress in question was clearly intended for a bride based on the verbiage in the description.
