If your neighbor had a lovely pool on their property, surely you would have done everything to score an open invite to use it whenever you felt like it. Who wouldn't love to go over there after a long day of work, sip on a refreshing beverage, and swim in the cool pool? It's basically the dream.

However, a key element in this dream scenario is the 'invite' of it all. If your neighbor didn't, in fact, invite you over to use their pool, all you can really do is dream about it from your own place. It is totally up to them to decide who gets to use their pool and when, and even if you consider yourselves close friends, you can't really do anything to change that.

It seems like the neighbor in the story below did not get this memo, because she thought she could use her neighbor's pool whenever she pleased. Ignoring the 'no trespassing' sign at the neighbor's property, she told her family to jump the fence and enjoy the pool, which led to quite a legal dispute when the neighbor reported them to the police.
