Man celebrates earning his degree with a family party, but his 27-year-old cousin thinks her work promotion from 3 months ago means they should split the celebration: 'She threw a tantrum'

Earning a degree—especially a master's—isn't just a line on a resume. It's years of sacrifice, sleepless nights, early mornings, and the kind of mental breakdowns that require an emotional support iced coffee (or multiple... a day). So when someone finally crosses that finish line, they deserve to celebrate, whether it's a full-blown graduation bash or just an excuse to gather the family for pulled pork and potato salad. And now that the weather's warming up, backyard parties with the fam are in full swing again. 

But what happens when someone shows up to your big day and decides to make it about themselves? That's what happened to one guy who was just trying to enjoy his master's degree party. His cousin, who's 27, might we add, was recently promoted and apparently under the impression that she was also the guest of honor.

Promotions are great, don't get us wrong. But maybe don't try to hijack someone else's cake.
