Always be careful when you're talking behind someone's back. Most people learn this universal truth during their elementary school years, but some folks are simply unable to help themselves. 

I always have a rule when it comes to talking trash about individuals, and it's a pretty easy rule for anyone to follow: Always wait until you are in a private space. If you're at a wedding and you want to complain about your family member's poor choice in food and music, wait until you're alone with your partner to vent. If you want to complain about someone at work, wait until you're home from the office. Finally, if you're in the service industry and you want to complain about a customer, it's probably best to wait until after they leave the restaurant.
