Attention-seeking grandmother put on information diet after she reveals her great-grandchild's gender to church congregation without mom's permission: "I wanted to be able to tell everyone on my own terms"
If you grew up in the 2000s – or really any point before the body positivity movement and general awareness of health over skinninness took hold – then you're probably well aware of all the crazy fad diets that have risen and fallen over the years. These unsustainable diets became popular due to their rapid weight loss effects, but they usually involved severely restricting what one could eat – sometimes to just one food, i.e. the Cabbage Diet. But have you ever heard of an informaiton diet? As per the name, it's when you limit information to yourself or someone else. It won't make you lose weight, but it could prevent drama if you know any incurable gossips.
Such a gossip is at the center of today's story. She's our protagonist's grandmother, and she can't help but repeat any information that she hears, even if she knows that doing so will her will harm her relationships. Scroll down to get all the details.
