Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. Breakups are really the worst. For anyone's who been through a breakup, you know how soul destroying it can be. You don't even really have to like or love the person, but the entire act of detangling yourself from someone is deeply traumatic. A lot of times, it's not even about the person, but it's about the habits, the life you built together, and the destruction of that life. You just get so used to your little rituals, your traditions, and the comfortability of someone. Even if you don't have it all with your partner, there's a reason the two of you are together, and there will certainly be things you miss. 
 

The longer you date someone, the harder it will be to break up. I've definitely been in situations where I should have broken up after 3 months, and knew I should. But instead I waited until it was deep down the line and years into the relationship. In the story below, the couple dates for two years before the man breaks up with his girlfriend due to the lack of a spark.
