Previously mistreated rescue dog Bray wins over his new cat siblings and claims a loving furever family of his very own
Most cats do not take kindly to change. Especially not the kind that slobbers, pants, and takes up half the living room rug. So when Bray the big ol' hound dog with a sad past, came trotting through the front gate, fresh off a long drive from his last-chance rescue, the cats were… less than thrilled. One peek through the window and they were already calculating the risk-to-tuna ratio.

20-year-old mom who practices "gentle parenting" with her 4-year-old lets the kid pull on her friend's cat's tail repeatedly without interfering, then plays the victim when her friend complains and asks her to leave her home
Freedom. That's something that we believe in. The freedom to express yourself, the freedom to do what you want to do. We believe in all of that… up until it comes to our cats. Then, there are rules. Our houses, our cats, our rules. And that should be okay. There are certain things that cats can't eat, and there are plants that are poisonous to cats that you shouldn't bring home in bouquets, and, as should be obvious, there are certain things that you are not allowed to do to cats. Like pull their tails.

Woman legally adopts her roommate's cat, ‘Luna‘, after she abandons her for a 4-month backpacking trip to Thailand
In this next story, a cat mom (if you can even call her that) abandons her Persian cat, Luna, to go on a multiple-month trip to Thailand. Her roommate was left to care for the cat, and after over a month, she took Luna on as a legal pet. When the absent cat mom returned from her trip, she expected everything to be fine. That's not how it works in these parts. Scroll below to read the entire story.

Boyfriend's brother and his girlfriend break their lease early because their roommate asks them to scoop their own cat's litter, having a complete meltdown over having to do basic cleaning
Basic things. You think people would have the common sense to do them. But apparently not. Cleaning your cat's litterbox every once in a while is one of those responsibilities that you have - both as a roommate and as a cat owner. You can't expect your roommate to do it and then throw a fit when they complain.

19-year-old son saves stray kitten with no microchip or mother, but a year later a Karen neighbor recognizes the cat and claims it morally belongs to her
Imagine that the CDS blesses you with a 2-week-old kitten that you raise by hand. You wake up to feed it bottles of milk, you wrap it in blankets like the purrfect little purrito to keep it warm. You take it to the vet, give them their vaccines, and get them microchipped. And then, a year later, over some random small talk, your neighbor comes up and tries to claim the cat as hers. Um, ex-squeeze you?

Cheap ex-roommate who hasn’t paid rent in months demands $700 over laptop damage caused by her own cat
Anyone knows that cats and mugs filled with liquid are mortal enemies. No two can exist in the same space at the same time. That's why we avoid any potential kitty chaos by never leaving out any containers of liquid (unless it's the glass of water she drinks from, because why should she drink from her bowl of fresh water when "our" glass of water is purrfectly within reach?). Never underestimate the amount of damage a cat can do with any household item. You only need to learn that lesson once!
