I love the 80s - it was a time of nascent technology and economy, which had important effects on the people and culture. Who remembers the big hair, all frizzed out, with a single pony tail on one side of your head. Or the erroneous fashion - from leotards and leg warmers, to neon print jackets and matching sweat pants. The 80s had it all, and no decade before or after has ever been the same.

We all love to reminisce about the 80s, even gen z and alpha, who can only look back on it through a contrived lens of television, photos, or anecdotes. When I was in high school and could finally go out to clubs, my favourite club to go to was an 80s club in Hollywood. They only played 80s music on Monday nights, and the bar was indelibly deemed "Blue Mondays." Everyone was in their own little world of wonder, dance, and nostalgia there.

I wasn't alive in the 80s, but it doesn't mean I don't think about the 80s, love the 80s, and wish it was the 80s again. I wish the economy was up, I wish that we didn't live with smart phones, and I wish that I could see these old 80s bands live when it was their prime.
