Gender reveal parties are becoming more and more vestigial as the years go by. From pink and blue being the only colored associated with babies, we now have a rainbow-like assortment or options that don't adhere to traditional standards. Did your parents have a gender reveal party for you when you were born? I wonder how common it was across decades. 


We all know pregnancy is a stressful time for women, and that's an understatement. It really goes to show how strong women are. The difficulties behind pregnancy and birth are enough for any man to opt out of having children. Thank goodness they're not the ones birthing the kids, am I right? In the story below, the protagonist is a woman whose friend was recently pregnant and gave birth. After she had her baby, she just dropped off the face of the earth. No calls, no texts, nothing.
