Ah, the 80s and 90s, possibly two of the only decades to properly compliment each other. Some say it is because they marked the turning point of two generations, others point to a timidness that somehow swept across the world. But all we know is that things were colorful, kids played outside for the most part and there was a certain sense of adventure and unknown left in the world that did not terrify but inspired us to do things we would have never thought possible.

And today, in and amongst all the maelstrom of 2025, we wanted to share a simple and fragile moment in time that has been rather perfectly shaped by our memories, which made this list of nostalgic memes possible. So put your work aside, put on your JNCO jeans and get ready to throw another tape in the Walkman as we jump back in time.

  • Ah heck yea, the kid who could run up this thing without even thinking twice was always destined to be the coolest kid in the neighborhood. That is until one kid has enough of that cool kid dominating the slide by going down and immediately climbing back up to jump the queue. Then that one kid got some of the sweetest and swiftest revenge when they inevitably slid down and took the cool kids legs out from under him.
