‘I’m entitled to the money you make’: 64-year-old father steals $300 from 16-year-old daughter’s emergency cash on top of demanding she pay rent, she quits job in retaliation

Money will never cease to be a point of contention between people. Whether it's you and your mother, your father, a friend, a partner, or a random cashier who just wants his minimum wage paycheck at the end of the month, money is a staple divider, and a staple necessity. Though it adds immense value to our lives when we have it, it can be the most destructive aspect of our lives if we don't. "Money, it's a gas," as sung by the indelible psychedelic band Pink Floyd in their 1973 hit song, "Money." I try never to mix money and friendships, unless it's spotting a friend for a drink or two while we're out. 

I've definitely had my fair share of cheap friends that trigger ill feelings towards finances. It's always the richer friends who tend to be the greediest, but that's just my personal experience. I once had a friend who was so cheap with money. It was my birthday party, a friend came over to cook for everyone and used her bag of rice, and she had the audacity to ask me to pay her back the $2 on my own birthday!
