  • This happened years ago when I was working at a luxury resort, fresh out of college. In short, a hurricane hit the area where I worked.
  • A few travel agents had been evacuated from another luxury property with hut style rooms. (Obviously, not hurricane proof.) The morning after the storm passes it is chaos.
  • Thankfully damage was minimal and all employees/guests were safe, but it's not business as usual. It's all hands on deck and the front desk is a mix of us playing

  • Normally, the hotel would do anything to cater to travel agents but our GM had enough. He told us to deactivate their room keys and kick them out. I was SHOCKED but SO HAPPY.
  • He actually kicked the entire group out, not just Tall and Short. The others weren't raging but they were overall entitled and unpleasant. They also kept saving how much nicer the resort was that they got evacuated

  • and suddenly tried to deny knowing Short and that he was just on the same travel agent FAM trip. Too bad. Too sad. They weren't guests nor a group we had invited to the resort, so
  • they got the boot. The best part. When Short got to his locked door, he called down nice as pie asking if the other agent could "be a dear" and come let him into his room since his key wasn't
