'Teenage girl, free to a good home': 15-year-old girl puts ad up to move out of parent's house after there's tension due to their divorce, they see the ad and ground her
Divorce is immensely difficult for anyone. No matter how old you are, or anything else in your life, no one wants to see the dismantling of their parent's love and marriage. Many people try to stay together for their children and end up doing more damage than good. In this story, that may be the case. We don't know how long this couple has been fighting and unhappy, but it's seriously affecting their teenager's life for the worse. It's better to cut the cord instead of keeping things going. This 15-year-old is so uncomfortable in her own home that she prefers to spend most of her time in her bedroom, away from her parent's tension and hostility.
Things are so uncomfortable for her, that she decides to put an ad up to move out. She tries her best to add some humor to the situation, but fails miserably. They see the ad and she faces consequences. When I read this story, I see a girl who's crying for help. It's not really about moving out; she's trying to alert to everyone about the uncomfortable situation she's in.
