Woman orders pulled pork sandwich at Togo's, waitress charges her 10% tip secretly without telling her, gets herself fired when woman complains to manager: 'Purposely putting in the tip wrong is theft'
I used to go to Togo's all the time when I was in high school. I have no idea why, it's really just a pretty average sandwich. There was something about the mediocrity that felt pleasant for me. I used to go with friends after school all the time and order their turkey sub. I love those big sandwiches, and it at least felt cleaner and fresher than Subway.
But when you're used to going somewhere to the point that it feels nostalgic then it can be extra insulting when you feel like you're taken advantage of. In the story here, the woman is a regular at Togo's. She's used to going there and ordering her sandwiches without hassle. Being a regular, you figure out the nuances of a restaurant, as well as the pricing. She leaves realizing she was charged another $10 or so for her sandwich. She goes back to ask the waitress to print the receipt, in which the waitress tells her their printer is broken. Read the full story below.
