I have 4 dogs and a wife that's allergic. What the heck am I gonna do. The worst part is I've wanted a cat since my last ones in my 20s. We're about to move into a bigger house, think I can hide it and convince my wife her allergies are from the new house?

Wife begrudgingly agreed to take in the kitten I found in the middle of traffic yesterday, despite her being allergic to cats. I'll be buying the meds for both the cat and the wife, along with various treats for both to thank them for being in my life.

Taking all yalls suggestions for allergy reducing cat food, I've got the little monster a vet appointment we're headed to soon. Was able to S it with the help of videos, he's a boy, so I'm naming him Doc Holiday, so Doc for short. Thank you all and the CDS for the support and amazing help. Cheers to all of you and your smaller loved ones! -pegothejerk & Doc

Justaticklerone Aww the poor kitten is just about the same color of the road, so it's great that you saw it when others didn't/couldn't. If your wife is extremely allergic to it though (meds don't work enough), you should find the little guy another forever home sooner than later, like a true rescue.

Odd_Bend487 Every time cat allergies comes up, I have to say get your baby on the purina live clear kibble. I use the sensitive skin and stomach formula (no fillers or by products like the other flavors) and I still do a quality wet can in the morning. I had horrible cat allergies and couldn't have a cat prior to that food. Absolutely life changing. I don't even need allergy meds anymore. I always sound like a paid partner haha but no one has sent me free food yet

BunnySlayer64 Oh, please tell me his middle name will be "Huckleberry"! (He needs a middle name so he knows when he's really in trouble).

Icy-Variation6614 I love the name! And I'd be willing to cause a traffic jam if I saw a kitten in the street. I'm sorta allergic too, plus my indoor/outdoor one likes to roll in things I'm allergic too. Zyrtec and Flonase is what I was told by the doctor. I'm not a doctor so don't take my comment as an instruction, just saying there's stuff that can help.

Rich_Group_8997 Congrats on the new fluffball. Glad you were able to keep your wife tho. ② Spouses are often difficult to rehome.
