Entitled craft fair vendor cancels at the last minute, demands her nonrefundable fee go towards school fund: 'Please don't go keeping the $25 rental [fee] for yourself'

There's some petty drama at the craft fair thanks to a vendor pulling out at the very last minute. 

Not just anyone can be a vendor a craft fair. Everyone has to be vetted — How is the quality of their products? Are they on social media? Do they move enough units to make their money back? There are a lot of questions that event organizers have to take into consideration when they're constructing their events.  They think about the placement of each vendor in the footpaths of potential customers. They try not to have too many competing types of vendors, too. Still, even when that vendor is chosen, they almost always have to pay a deposit for their spot in order to ensure their place at the fair. 

This is a win-win for everyone involved — vendors pay a fee in order to put their crafts front and center for people to buy, and the organizer gets a nice payout from them all. Customers get to purchase handmade pieces that they love, and these fairs are excellent places to snag holiday and birthday presents for your friends and family members. 

That's why it's so odd that this vendor pulled out of the event at the last minute, using some rather casual language. It's like she thinks she paid $25 to like, a friend or something, instead of placing a deposit. She asks the event organizer to do something specific with the money, which just doesn't compute. It's all quite odd, as you can read about down below. 

After that, read about the tech founder who was mere hours from boarding a flight when he discovered that his smart ring battery was swelling up on his finger, making him unable to remove it from his hand: 'This is… not good."

    It's pretty ridiculous for a vendor to say she wants to "take it easy," as if she's putting off lunch with a friend, and not a business opportunity. She either could've phrased it more professionally, or she could've sent another person in her place to run the booth!
