You know that we're the ultimate cat-lovers over here at the I Can Has Cheezburger offices. And usually, cat lovers are dogs don't mix well together, but, just like we pawsitively believe that cats and doggos can be friends, we can also appreciate the cuteness of canine companions. Especially when they decide to care for cats in a way that only someone who loves cats does.

With kindness, care, and respect for their boundaries (that doggos don't usually have). Even best is when they step up to be the step-dad or mom for kittens that need them. There's nothing more wholesome than a pupper deciding to raise kittens as their own.

Because, in the end, a baby is a baby, and babies need pawrents. It doesn't matter if the kittens are different, they need to be taken care of, and dogs have a capacity for love that is unparalleled in our world. That's what happened after the family below found a litter of motherless kittens, unsure of what to do with them. But then, their dog stepped up and claimed the babies as her own. Sure, her "puppies" may be different, but they are hers now, and she's going to love them more than anyone ever could.

They really do look similar. Well, of course they do, they're her babies after all! That house is going to be full of laughter and joy until they find those kittens a home. Hopefully even after, if they keep some of them. We hope they do, for the momma's sake at least.

One of our friends had a very protective, antisocial dog. They decided to get the dog a kitten, and once they dog had someone to care for, she opened up and became the most loving, friendly dog ever. It was like she aged backwards! Sometimes, you just need someone to care for, and it shows you a different side of life.
