Entitled gym-goer uses lipstick to mark the equipment she plans to use with an "X", leisurely walks off to the locker room: 'This is disgusting. She's disgusting'

Going to the gym comes with its own set of rules and expectations. You can't just go in there and do whatever you want. You're entering an extremely delicate social contract. You have to be sure not to disturb the natural order of things, or else you risk getting kicked out. These rules and expectations might be outlined by the gym itself, and they'll probably inform you of them when you sign up to become a member. These are the rules, like no listening to music out loud or no slamming overly-heavy weights on the ground. 

But then there are the rules that you have to intuit just by being a regular, considerate person. These are the more subtle social cues, like letting someone rep in on your weights and not hogging a machine for hours. These you pick up just by following common sense and exhibiting some empathy. This woman managed to cross all of those boundaries in one fell swoop, and her fellow gym-goers had a lot to say about it, and a lot of it wasn't kind to her.

  • There are lots of ways to ensure you get the equipment you want at the gym, when you want it. And most of that involved being patient and waiting your turn. But some folks just can't handle that and feel entitled to everything when they want it. Read on to see what happened here. 

  • Entitled fitness attendee tries using her lipstick to write an X on equipment she's going to use...

    This happened yesterday afternoon at gym: a woman was making her way to different pieces of equipment in the gym only she didn't sit to use any instead she used her lipstick to make X's on the equipment. I walk over and ask what's she doing after she puts an X on the final piece of equipment and she says she's labeling which equipment she will be using when she comes out of the locker room then disappears to the locker room.

I told her there's no reserving equipment and people had to clean up her marks before using the equipment. I told her if I caught her trying to use any kind
